June is closing out and this is our last show for the month so it's one final greeting to the people who celebrate in June. Now it's time for July and the fans of the Saturday Morning Entertainment Show will be hearing a lot about 721. And it's not only the middle of the year, it's the middle of summer. Even though it is the hurricane season in the Caribbean, it is also the world's greatest summer festival is in motion.. So it's crop over in Barbados, Music Festival in St. Kitts, 50th Culturama in Nevis, Antigua carnival, Vincey Mas, BVI Festival, just to name a few. A great and festive time to be in the Caribbean and we are open to sharing it all on the Caribbean Global Voices Saturday Morning Entertainment Show.

We wonder why the rest of the world cannot make life something wonderful to celebrate one day after another. That is something we take time out to have a conversation about so let's talk. The family of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange are celebrating his release from confinement and the threat of 175 years in prison after 12 years. Assange pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to illegally obtain classified information. Assange was being pursued to be prosecuted for espionage because he published information for U.S. and British war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan. Assange is a journalist and did what all journalist do - published information on the actions of our governments. While assange release bring well-deserved relief, the fact that he had to enter a plea of guilty leaves a seriously disturbing undertone of what would happen when anyone dares to expose the crimes of the powerful. Should Assange be charged with a crime? What effect would this have on journalists and our right to know the truth.

Join the conversation and tell us what you think. Or tell us what your want to tak about. We are always happy to hear from you.. .
