The Saturday Morning Entertainment Show

As we continue to remind our wonderful fans, its the season of celebrations. Caribbean Global Voices is right here to celebrate with you on the Saturday Morning Entertainment Show with host, Ivor Henry. Well, Ivor is off on another assignment today so filling in for him as your host will be Cardinal Mills. But you can expect the same enjoyable show that we promise to deliver. It's the Christian season of celebration and hope for peace on earth and good will to all men; but the earth is in tumultous uproar while peace and good will seem like distant dreams. Maybe there is notthing that we can do about most of it but it's our world too so let's talk about it. The Ukraine-Russia war rages on. There are protestets in Iran and the Governmment is responding to the transgressions of protesters with a heavy hand. A young man, 23 year old was executed yesterday. It is alleged that people are being shot routinely with security forces even specifically targetting the face and genitals of female protesters. Do you think that this approach is effective? Is there a better way that the government could respond to the protests?

The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis is extending its goodwill though. It has been reported the Government is paying Dividends to its citizens in the amount of 10% . The program is to be financed by funds from the CBI. It is unclear how this works but may one of our well informed listeners will clafrify it for us. Is this a wise financial decision?
