The Saturday Morning Entertainment Show

Thanksgiving announces the end of November and the beginning of the holiday season and Caribbean Global Voices brings you the Saturday Morning Entertainment Show with host Ivor Henry. Since it is the last show for the month of November, we say greetings to all the people who celebrate in November. Of Course this begins the biggest holiday and season of celebration in this part of the world as people of different cultural beliefs celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hannukah, Winter Soltice etc. But despite the celebratory mood, there is still so much trouble in the world. Will the leaders of the world ever acquire the measure of intelligence that would enable them to bring an end to these conflicts. I am doubtful about that.

So let's talk. Jack Warner the former FIFA Vice President and President of CONCACAF is fighting his extradiction in the courts of Trinidad and Tobago after the Privy Council, a British Court of Final Appeal decided that the could be extradited to the United States to stand trial on criminal charges brought by the United States. One thing of things that stands out is the defeaning silence of leaders and commentators of the Caribbean. What does that say about the independence of Caribbean countries? If Jack Warner committed a crime should'nt the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago charge him? Could Jack Warner get fair consideration by the Privy Council? Aren't there jurists in the Cariibean qualified in the knowledge of justice to make a fair decision about the efforts to extradite Jack Warner?
