Scott Newstok is a professor of English and founding director of the Pearce Shakespeare Endowment at Rhodes College. This parent and award-winning teacher is the author of Quoting Death in Early Modern England and the editor of several other books.
Tonight we'll discuss his book, How to Think like Shakespeare - Lessons from a Renaissance Education.
Scott states in his book: It's human to avoid the hard work of thinking, reading, and writing. But we all fail when technology becomes a distraction from, or, worse, a substitute for, the interminable yet rewarding task of confronting the object under study - seeing the world in a grain of sand.
