1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
This week is part 2 of a 6 part series on the End Times and today we look into what the Bible actually has to say about "The Rapture".
The time IS at hand. SO are you ready? Life will be going along as usual and then suddenly, Jesus returns and raptures His Bride, the church.
Now so many Christians actually get upset and confused when they think of the end times, but it's not supposed to be like that! Last week we learned that we are to be blessed in knowing! Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
So this week we'll use the Thessalonians as a case study. They were having some problems. They knew Jesus had come the first time, that He taught, was crucified, buried and rose. They also knew He had ascended into heaven and they expected Him to return soon.
In fact, they expected Jesus to return in their lifetime yet some of their family members and loved one's were dying.
So Paul wrote this reply their questions, in order to relieve their worries and give them comfort. See 1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. So here we see that Paul is writing to address at least three issues in the people: Ignorance, sorrow and hopelessness and he gives them comfort that's found in our focus scriptures.
Join us as we explore the what, the who, the when, the why, the where and the wherefore of The Rapture!
