Acts 5
This message contains a grave warning, against all superficial Christianity. The truth is that anybody who puts a question mark after The Word of God is doing the work of Satan. The roots of our gift of His Saving F.A.I.T.H. must run deep in the rich soil of The Father's Garden and that begins by believing The Bible!
So we’ll be looking at the dangers of superficial Christianity and two dire warnings given in the Bible against “pretended devotion” and “premeditated deception”.
And then we’ll look at the certainty of the Holy Spirit’s “penetrating detection” and “purifying discipline” in the lives of those who chose to masquerade as Superficial Christians. We’ll use the lives of two well known superficial Christians: Ananias and Sapphira from Acts 5 to dive into this important message. Do realize that there are two great forces working against your life and the life of your church today? And they are both orchestrated by Satan himself. One is persecution. The other is hypocrisy. Persecution is done by the devil of darkness Satan; and hypocrisy by his alter ego, the other side of the same coin, Lucifer, the angel of light. To learn more on this con known as duality listen to my message titled: SDG 64 The Mystery of Iniquity So both of these forces are working against each and every church: then and now. First the devil persecuted the early church and that didn't work, it only grew in numbers; driving Christians to their knees in powerful prayer. So he came back this time as Lucifer, the angel of light and reasoned that if intimidation and persecution doesn’t work, then he’ll get inside and attack the church with hypocrisy and superficiality. Which has hurt the church more over the years than persecution ever has!
