Let's learn how and why to smile at death - Psalm 23:4
This is the forth in our six part Rapture Readiness Study taken from verse 4 of Psalm 23: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. You know we all have to deal with this subject, but few of us even want to even talk about it. That subject is our death. Death is an undeniable fact for each and every one of us. Except for that one generation on the Day of Christ which are alive and remain and shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air... as Paul so gloriously stated.
So each day we are literally living on the edge of eternity. In this comforting study, let's learn how to “fear no evil,” for the One Who rose from the dead, our Shepherd, walks beside us.
We can do this by embracing these three truths:
1) Accept Death as a Decided Fact
and also a stubborn, uncertain and personal fact
2) Acknowledge Death as a Defeated Foe
understanding that there can be no valley without mountains, no shadow without light and no evil without a greater good
3) See Death as a Delightful Friend
yes as a delightful friend, because of the presence, power and purpose of the Shepherd Then we can live glorious days knowing, serving and loving Jesus remembering these two truths if we simply trust and obey...
ONE: "You will never walk alone"
TWO: "All the way My Savior Leads me!"
