About the Author:

Maia has been an avid solo traveller for over twenty years and is interested in people as much as the places they inhabit. She prefers a backpack for all her adventures and loves to climb mountains, despite a crippling fear of heights. She teaches ESL in Ontario, Canada where she lives with her young son.
