Zen Up with Susan Kiskis: The Power of Mantra

After living and working in New York for six years, in 2001 Georgia returned to Europe and settled in Barcelona. There she started editing commercials for clients such as Citroen, Audi and Nescafe. Later she started to commute between Barcelona, Zurich and Berlin where she has been editing features and documentaries. The most recent works include a family feature film “Ozzie” and the swiss TV documentary “Sixtina” directed by Andres Brütsch. In 2005 the opportunity arose to work with Isabel Coixet editing promotional pieces for Woman’secret and later that year edited the trailer and did additional editing on her feature “The Secret Life of Words”.

In 2006 she edited the feature documentary “A crude Awakening, the Oil Crash” directed by Ray McCormack and Basil Gelpke which has been shown in over 35 film festivals around the world and has won 5 in the best documentary category. In 2008 Georgia was accepted by the European Film Academy to take part in the Master Class “The Cutting Edge” held in Beriln and led by Editor, Hervé Schneid.

Her newest film, Mantra - Sounds into Silence, is a documentary that explores the new music and social phenomenon of chanting.
