Carrie is about to meet Daphne a mysterious woman who grew up in Clover Ridge. Her no good dad met his end at the overbearing hands of her brother, Billy. But , Daphne proves to be a welcome distraction for Carrie. Her overbearing mother arrives in town with her much younger husband ,Tom and the co- star is his ex-fiancée, and there's no denying the chemistry is still there. Soon after mingling with the moviemakers st a meet and greet, Daphne is found dead.

Carrie and her library ghost, Evelyn investigate assisted by our favorite library cat, Smoky Joe. The suspects can fill the shelves of the library and we wonder if her brother took another life.
