READ AND GONE!

READ AND GONE is the second book in the Haunted Library mystery series. Of course there’s a murder or two or three, but it’s also about Carrie’s relationship with her father. Jim Singleton is a “professional” thief. He shows up unexpectedly at Carrie’s cottage after years of absence and wants her to help him regain his share of a heist that his partner seems to have stolen from him. Carrie is outraged at his request and he takes off, but days later Jim calls her from jail. His partner in crime has been murdered and he is suspect number one. Soon everyone is off looking for the missing jewels. Carrie discovers that, much as she despises her father’s values, it’s not that easy to cut him out of her life.
