Too often single-parent mothers try to encourage their sons to be responsible “AS A MAN” in the absence of pro-social masculine instruction.  Consequently, they drive young, naïve males into one of three behavioral responses: Male Assertiveness – confidence in masculine abilities and potential, Male Aggressiveness – hostile or exploitive masculine behaviors or a fight and flight reaction.
