How to Empower Nashville Citizens Economically
&
Update on Public Transit
Special Guest:
Mrs. Amanda Clelland, Public Information Officer
Metro Transit Authority
Over the last four years Nashville has seen some major economic growth. The tourism industry has boomed beyond expectations. Development is at a record level. All of the latter successes speak well for the city’s prosperity in general. However there is a segment of the city’s population who are figuratively drowning amidst the economic tide of Nashville. There is dignity in employment, but more importantly, there is empowerment in Entrepreneurship. It seems reasonable to explore the nexus between federal (Opportunity Zones) state (Economic Development Initiative) and local (created) opportunities for new business development for those who feel left behind. A related issue is access to public transportation to and from work in areas of the city.
Join At-Large Candidate Rueben Dockery as he engages Nashville voters in this important conversation about “How to Empower Nashville Citizens Economically” and as he welcomes the Public Information Officer for the Metropolitan Transit Authority, as she gives an update on public transportation matters for the city.
