Thirty One years ago (a full generation now) the Stop The Violence Movement began. The rap group KRS -1 was inspired by the death of a friend (Scott La Rock), killed in a senseless act of violence. They laid down a powerful message that should have shape African American history in a transformative way. Somehow the message transformed from African American self reflection to full out self destruction. As we reflect during this African American History Month, perhaps we should examine the question “What Does America Mean to You”? Unfortunately, racially charged tensions are recklessly being promoted by political and media pundits across the nation. Rather than improving race relations, they are eroding them – particularly for the most uninformed White and Black youth of today.

Join TALK-STRAIGHT host, Rev., Dr. Rueben Dockery as he facilitates a powerfully informative dialogue – intended to improve the social relation of Whites and Blacks in 2019 and beyond!
