                                Topic: What is “VOTER APATHY”?

Over the last twenty plus years, there has been a fairly low voter turnout in Tennessee Senate District 19. This trend was reflected in the results of the 2018 Primary Election – the majority (70k plus) of Tennessee Senate District 19 voters either were disinterested or simply want something different. The recent action of voters overall shows “Voter Apathy”.

Voter apathy or lack of interest is often cited as a cause of low turnout among eligible voters. Most often it stems from the failure of current or previously elected officials to adequately represent the needs of their constituents.
