“OPEN MIC” with 2018 Senate District 19 Candidate

                                             RUEBEN DOCKERY

Topic: TN Senate District 19 - 4 Year Education Focus

In Tennessee Senate District 19 more than half of the schools on the Department of Education’s priority list are attended by residents of Senate District 19, living is specific voting precincts. Despite the presence of Federal (Race to the Top) funds, Tennessee Contribution to Local Education Agency (Davidson County Public School System) and other funding programs too many students who live in specific voting precincts continue to struggle academically. Recently, The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce has identified parent involvement as the most important factor to lowering the achievement gap for students in the public school system.

Please join RUEBEN DOCKERY as he shares his legislative agenda that includes a 4 Year Education Focus. This focus model specifically targets voting precincts within the senate district that have a high drop our rate, suspension and or expulsion rate from the public schools.
