                                  How Can I be heard as a Constituent?

There is a popular misunderstanding among many voters nationally. The misunderstanding is that an elected official has some sort of power over all the voters that put them in office. When we speak of a voter we are simply talking about a CON-STIT-U-ENT. The word constituent is defined as “being a voting member of a community or organization and having the power to appoint or elect”. Following that definition, clearly we see that people hold the power over the elected official. Whenever, ignorance and or apathy exist among people of good will in a voting community, the chances of a politician to dupe and/or manipulate the power of the said community are increased.
