While in a Birmingham, Alabama jail cell, in 1963 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., pinned a historical letter. He entitled it “Why We Can’t Wait”? Motivated by the national presence of social economic inequity and oppression all across America and even in parts of White America, he addressed the issue. Strangely enough, fifty-five years later, Urban America has assumed the greater portion of the negative affects of social degradation and economic disparity. It should be noted that in 2018 the harm is more self inflicted than externally imposed.
