LITTLE KNOWN BLACK MOVEMENTS IN AMERICA
Movement - a group of people working together to advance their shared political, social, or artistic ideas. For Blacks in American over the last one hundred and fifty-two years the need and concern to organize, promote or sustain some kind of a movement, for many seem paramount. The latter platform allows for collective sharing of strategies to address challenges of a specific segment of society. Over the last ten to twelve decades, there have been various movements among African Americans, but somehow a specialty group (at-risk Urban African American Males) is under particular threat of social extinction.
Join TALK-STRAIGHT host, Rev., Dr. Rueben Dockery as he discusses three Movements and the vision of their founders - that are little known or mentioned in America among the masses (Moorish Science Temple of America, Universal Negro Improvement Association and the Koshee Ibree Nation).
