FROM THE FIGHT OVER SLAVERY, TO THE FIGHT IN URBAN STREETS
A significant aspect of American history is the contribution of African American soldiers. They fought in every American military conflict since the Revolutionary War. The one common motivation for Negro participation in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars was to fight to be free from slavery. Strangely enough, today too many young males engage in street fights, over the most senseless matters. However knowledge is the power to change hearts and minds.
Join TALK-STRAIGHT host, Rev., Dr. Rueben Dockery as he discusses the contribution of the 54th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and how their actions can serve as a lesson to redirect the destructive behaviors of at-risk males in the streets.
