A CONVERSATION WITH DR. MARTIN LUTHE KING:
What Happened to the “POOR PEOPLE’S CAMPAIGN”?
On March 31, 1968 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., laid out the plans for holding a “Poor People’s Campaign” on the grounds of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This speech (Remaining Awake Through A Great Revolution) would be the second to the last he would share with the world. Four days later, on April 4, 1968, he was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee and the Campaign never occurred!
Join TALK-STRAIGHT host, Rev. Dr. Rueben Dockery as he engages Dr. King in a virtual interview about the Poor People’s Campaign and where we are today in 2017.
