Greg Rand, with Renters Warehouse, kicks off the show discussing lift cities, and his favorite, Charlotte! He talks about how he spends his time with the location rather than what he is purchasing. He has plenty of reasons for why he chose Charlotte, including the new Amazon headquarters.
They discuss Spartanburg, SC and why it’s a great town! BMW is located there and Greg says he doesn’t like to invest in cities with only one major company that is in the town, but he thinks Spartanburg is great. Greg lives near the headquarters of Lowe’s Home Improvement and he explains how it creates a gravitational pull in the market.
Greg and Abhi are getting into the federal rates rising. Greg gives his insight on the matter and says usually it has no effect on the housing market because most people occupying homes aren’t looking at it because of the federal rates, but because they got married or moved or just want to buy a home. He says there is a lot of “noise” going on right now and it hasn’t stopped him from buying.
They wrap-up the show discussing Think Realty Dallas Conference & Expo and why events like these are so helpful and important for networking and real estate education in general. We hope to see you there!
