Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light.

Our Special Guests this evening are Daniel and Linda Simms, author of DEFUND DOC. Turning all Prisons into Treatment and Career Centers.

This is something I have wanted to see implemented and established throughout the 24 years plus, that I have been Advocating for the incarcerated population serving very harsh sentences. Rehabilitation in Prisons unfortunately is not enough. Contracted Providers are not always effective. Nor are they providing the appropriate Treatment. 

Daniel and Linda Simms, in the writing of their book and the endless work they've been doing to Network with Advocates around the nation to make this cause a reality, have touched the hearts and motivated many to unite to Shed Light and bring awareness. So let's welcome Our Special Guest.
