Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light.

Jenn Mather, Host for today, has been coming on the Show with other experienced advocates, in the field of Public and Community Services and more recently as an advocate for prison reform as well as an advocate for mental health issues and more. She is bringing awareness of another issue, which many people in society do not often consider, and that is how parental break-ups and other family issues, can result in incarceration. Jenn will be discussing, the unfortunate Legal abuses and PTSD (now a DSM-5 diagnosis), as we continue focusing on mental health issues in the Communities,  as well as, the Jails and Prisons. 

These epidemics in America, of Mental Illinesses and Addictions are long-overdue for Resolution. It does take a Village to resolve these severe issues and we all need to work in unity to ensure it happens. This matter is such a hot topic as it pertains to so many fallen individuals, now behind prison walls, rather than in Long-Term Residential Treatment Programs. Therefore, we have extended the Show to become that Village and welcome anyone who wishes to be a part of that Village, to ensure the success of the rehabilitation of the mentally ill. 

The U.S. is the ONLY COUNTRY in the World, with mass Incarceration and it needs to end. Individuals with Mental Health issues need Long-Term Residential Treatment Facilities, not Prisons. So, Let's welcome our guests.
