Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light.

Today, we have the honor of welcoming back a Guest many of you may have heard, or know. Mr. Joe Kaye, Writer/Author of  "The Crime of Impunity. The Crime of Punishment."  A written comparison of the moral standing of the elite versus that of the street criminal to the great disadvantage of the elite. Joe Kaye has been admired by many, for his extensive knowledge and expertise, in the areas of injustices in and out of the penal system. Although, his Masters, was in Social History, Joe wrote and worked on many Political and Criminal Justice Issues, along with his wife, the late Sarah E. Wright, also a great novelist and author of the Book, "This Child's Gonna Live.  

Joseph Kaye's primary focus has been the need for those who are incarcerated and their family and friends to think in political terms, to understand the place of the criminal justice system in our society.  And based on that understanding, to organize, both behind and outside the bars.

Joe approached the subject when it became clear that the Black man was being demonized, portrayed as a criminal, and this to put an end to the civil rights agitation.  Joe, as many of us, firmly believes that white workers, poor whites, and whites of modest means, has a stake in racial justice -- for a number of reasons, as Joe will discuss further, as he speaks out on the need for a united political struggle against a brutal and racist criminal justice system. So, Let's Please welcome our Guest once again, Joe Kaye.
