Hello everyone, I am Leonna Abraham Brandao, Host for Blog Talk Radio/ Shedding Light. I started this Blog Talk Radio a couple of years ago, to expose the injustices in America and in the American Penal System, as we all know it to be well known that the U.S. is the only Country in the World that has mass incarceration.

We have on with us today, two very special and Unique Guest, whom I would like to welcome. Attorney Amina Matheny-Willard and her Twin Sister, Paralegal,  Ameera Matheny.  Amina Matheny-Willard has been a criminal defense attorney for over 21 years. She began her career with a focus on juvenile criminal defense.  Attorney Matheny-Willard has been instrumental in shaping the way defense attorneys practice by helping to develop the Juvenile Standards of Practice distributed by the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission and by presenting to defense attorneys throughout the Commonwealth.  She has been fighting for Virginia residents who have been over-targeted, over-charged and over-incarcerated, and she is fighting to reverse the trend of over-incarceration of minorities in this country.  The focus of her law firm is criminal defense and civil rights litigation.
