Our Guest today, Rowena Andrews, a native of Southern Illinois, earned her BA in Psychology and Child Family and Community Counseling in Springfield, Illinois. In addition, Rowena served 3 years in the Military, later becoming a teacher, a motivational speaker, writer, and an artist.
Rowena is in the process of starting up a Life skills Coaching Practice (The Village Griots) as well as networking and supporting upcoming entrepreneurs that actively seek to build communities through education, and I will talk about that later on in the broadcast.
Her plan is to finish her doctorate in Special Education with an emphasis on Behavior/Mental Health. She is currently a DBA and her dissertation topic “Disproportionate Discipline and the Classroom to Prison Pipeline” has a lot to do with our topic discussion Today.
