The Book of Revelation Is An Alternating Scenes Between Heaven and Earth! This book was given to John the Apostle during the reign of Roman Emperor Domitian when another wave of severe persecution came upon the believers around 95-100 A.D. Emperor Domitian had demanded that everyone, including the believers to worship him. The believers refused, and they were persecuted, imprisoned, and sent to exile. It seems John was one of those who was sent to exile to the Island of Patmos.
By now, it seems all the Apostles had been martyred. James the son of Zebedee was executed by Herod about 44 A.D. (Acts 12:2). The rest were scattered to all the surrounding countries. Thomas went to Syria and India. He died when he was pierced with the spears of four soldiers. Matthew went to Persia and Ethiopia and he was martyred there. Peter and Paul were both martyred in Rome about 66 A.D. by Nero. Simon the Zealot also went to Persia to evangelize and he was killed after he refused to sacrifice to the sun god. I will have more to say about today's topic on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 11:00/A.M. to 1:00/P.M. MST.
