There is a great mystery hidden in the very first verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:1 " In the beginning God created..." In this verse the word for God is Elohim! In Hebrew language, words ending with "im" are plural which speaks of the Trinity ( God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). This is, ONE God in Three Persons! Isaiah 43:11; 44:6, 8; 45:5, 18, 22, 23; 46:9 and many more attests to this Fact. Although the concept of Trinity runs through the Bible, yet it is very difficult to explain this Truth to unbelievers. Mormons have used this verse to claim that there are multiple Gods! Biblically, this is NOT True!
It is also interesting to note that the very next word after "Elohim," in this verse, "Created,' the Hebrew word "bara,' is not plural but singular which breaks the rules of grammar. So, we know there is a much deeper truth is hidden in this verse!
