Show Topic: California was the first State to be issued a Federal waiver to develop a pilot Managed Care System for substance abuse treatment using Medicaid dollars. Our County (San Mateo), is the first County in the State to have its pilot plan approved by the Feds and the State. The County plan is called the ODS (Organized Delivery System). In this two part series we'll discuss how the ODS will change substance abuse treatment as we know it. Part 1 will address, the Residential component, the highest level of care.
