Dana Burkholder played collegiate Volleyball for the University of Arizona. She was a Division 1 first team All American, participated in the Final Four Championship and later went on to play professional volleyball in Italy.
Upon retiring from professional volleyball, Dana became an Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of Arizona. In 2014 Dana founded Forza 1, a Southern California Junior volleyball club, with her business partner and is the General Manager and Head Coach. To date, Forza 1 has 1500 club members and for the past 5 years has been considered one of the top Volleyball Clubs in Southern California. In 2019 her 18 Girl’s team was ranked fifth in the Nation and the Champions of Southern California.
Alongside her athletic career and achievements Dana was always involved with religion and spirituality. She consistently developed this side of her personality and now incorporates that wisdom into her coaching. Included in her regular athletic training is a more expansive program that includes mindfulness, meditation and heart coherence. She feels these inner technologies along with emotional clarity, physical and mental alignment and focused action are necessary to achieve the highest levels of performance. Dana is passionate about connecting her athletes and families to their strengths, inner technology and truth and she constantly reminds them of who they are so they can progress beyond their self imposed limitations. Dana is a motivational speaker and life coach. In addition, she provides personal volleyball coaching, assistance and partnerships.
