The United Nations approved a resolution condemning using the death penalty on certain individuals. Apostasy, Blasphemy, Adultery, and consensual same-sex relations. As a result the United States and 13 other countries rejected the resolution. 27 countries supported the resolution; now the resolution does not call for the end of the death penalty, just simply condemn its usage in a discriminatory fashion. So why would the US and the other 13 countries reject it?
The Supreme Court is looking at a case that will have national repercussions. The case deals with political gerrymandering; a decision is needed on a Wisconsin case where voting redistricting favors one party over another. This has been a process that bordered on voter suppression. Gerrymandering is the manipulation of boundaries of (an electoral constituency) so as to favor one party or class.to achieve (a result) by manipulating the boundaries of an electoral constituency.
