Author & Poet Karen Head Visits Madame Perry's Salon

Dr. Karen Head visits to talk about  Disrupt This! MOOCs and the Promises of Technology her new book on higher education and technology. Head is an Associate Professor and incoming Associate Chair in Georgia Tech’s School of Literature, Media, and Communication and Executive Director of the Communication Center. She is also the Editor of Southern Discourse in the Center: A Journal of Multiliteracy and Innovation, and the Editor of Atlanta Review. She has published four books of poetry and exhibited acclaimed digital poetry projects. , is forthcoming in spring 2017. In 2016, she became the editor of the Atlanta Review. Her research focuses on communication theory and pedagogical practice, especially the implementation and development of writing centers, writing program administration, and multidisciplinary communication.
