Meet Miss Catherine Yronwode! Many know her as the co-owner of the Lucky Mojo Curio Company, founding member of the Association of Independent Readers and Rootworkers (AIRR), Bishop of the Association of Independent Spiritual Churches (AISC), Minister at Missionary Independent Spiritual Church, Pastor of the Crystal Silence League, long-time researcher, teacher, and writer on the tradition of hoodoo. Her book "Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic" is a foundational text for many conjure doctors. She developed the “Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course," a 432-page curriculum, to educate and take home-practitioners to professional expertise. With her colleagues, she has written, edited, and published three dozen books on hoodoo, spirituality, divination, and world-wide folk magic.
