A tribute to South Shore community legend Robert "Rock" Rockymore. Father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, mentor, and coach for over 50 years...and husband Ms. Beverly Rockymore for over 50 years.
In New York’s Harlem there was Holcolme Rucker, legendary black man teacher, playground director, and mentor and where there is a basketball court named after him. In Chicago South Shore there was and still “IS” Robert "Rock" Rockymore who is equally deserving of a basketball court named after “him” in addition to the gym at South Shore YMCA where he straightened out the lives of so many black male youth.
