We each have a responsibility to God regarding the things we believe! It is not excusable to claim you believe what your Church taught or what your brother believes... Or I go to the same church as my Grandmother....
Jesus said we must love him with all our "...... and mind" [Matthew 22:37]
Our faith, conviction, and knowledge must be personal... it cannot be a copycat experience. Many people's response to "new things" is I'll ask my pastor..... you are not a parrot or puppet. We each must answer to God for ourself.
It is important to support your "theology" with Scripture.... Most "church people" only have a duct tape understanding of the Bible. A decoupage of cut and paste produced by some author or film maker.
Understand this: Check it out! Take the time and research the Scriptures.. apathy or disbelief is opposite of loving God with your mind!
Satan's greatest tactic is deception.
The 1st century Church and the Apostles had all the truth .. absolute truth... The Holy Spirit gave them the deep things of God [I Cor. 2:10] The Reformation Movement of the 16th century usurped the Authority of Christ and makes inconsistent the unchangeable character of God with those doctrines which have been added to the 1st century Church.
