Ledor Vador is a Hebrew code phrase that is comprised of two seperate forms of the word ??(dor). It properly means a revolution of time, i.e. an age or generation. When used in the context of a “generation”, it means the imedeate family members of a patriach, or parent human genome. It is also used for dwelling, in that the homestead or estate that the family life revoles around. In this sense of a “dwelling”, it comes from the idea of “heap” surrounding a particular axis point that has a peak or pentical. The exact phrase is used 12 times in the Bible and is exclusive to the Psalms in the Masoretic Text.
