 The world is actually a prison, according to the Bible, and the people are prisoners held in spiritual darkness. Jesus came here  and told everyone He had come to set us free, and told us what we had to do to avail ourselves of this freedom.  People just simply don't really believe it. They soon will, and what a surprise it will be.
