Join me with guest Christine Ristaino who is a survivor of sexual violence and author of "All the Silent Spaces." She is passionate about social justice and creating positive change in our world. Christine was attacked by a stranger in a parking lot in front of her very young children and had to learn how to speak up about the violence she had sustained then and many years earlier. She found her voice which led to great healing and she now encourages others to speak up about the dark places in their lives. Christine's memoir, "All the Silent Spaces", is the 2020 IndieReader Discovery Awards Winner in Women's Issues, and a 2019 Best Book Awards Finalist in Social Change and Women's Issues. In addition to writing, Dr. Ristaino teaches Italian language and literature at Emory University and advises three student groups on social justice issues.
