Episode 356: Waiting Church, Part One--Active Waiting

As the church year turns to a season of waiting and hopeful watching with the beginning of Advent, pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve are starting a new series on what it means to be a "waiting church."  The Christian community has a unique calling as people who both wait for Jesus' coming and God's new creation, on the one hand, and who are active in loving and serving to anticipate God's "new thing," on the other.  That's a special kind of waiting--because we don't get to just sit on our hands or fall asleep, but neither do we have the power and control to make God's kingdom come on our timetable.  How do we make sense of that unique kind of faithful, hope-filled waiting?  Join us for this conversation here on Crazy Faith Talk for a place to start!
