Pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve continue their Lenten series on the stations of the cross, today looking at the journey Jesus took physically carrying the instrument of his own execution.  We'll take a look at what how the Gospel writers use this scene to convey something of what Jesus' death meant and did for us, but also how Jesus was aware of the disaster awaiting his people at the hands of the Romans, too, not long after his crucifixion.  Sometimes we forget the sheer number of people crucified by the Romans, or the ways the Empire used this tactic to try to break the spirits of peoples they conquered, and we'll explore in this conversation how all of that plays into the story we know so well.  And as unpleasant as these moments from the Gospels might be, we'll explore how the whole Christian faith centers on a God who goes all the way through the worst of things with us--even to death, and how Easter Sunday only has power if it comes first through Good Friday's cross.  Join us for this week's episode of "Crazy Faith Talk".
