Big Questions: The Theodicy Odyssey, Part 3

As we talk about God and suffering, it becomes clear that Christians don't just believe in a generic "Supremem Being" called "God" and then tack on Jesus as a footnote, but rather Jesus is key to understanding what "God" means.  And that means that the vulnerability, suffering love, death and resurrection we meet in Jesus is part of God's answer to the question of why bad things happen.  Jesus shows us that the buck stops with God, but Jesus also shows us that God meets us in? suffering, rather than sending it on us from a distance, or walking away and washing hands of us.  In the third part of this conversation, Pastors Erica and Steve try and deal with the cans of worms we have opened up in the first two rounds of conversation about how we talk about God and suffering without sliding into cliches or trite religious mottos.  Join us for the conversation as we try and look at the Big Questions and find God there.
