The National Arts Initiative, Parents for Change and Beauty Unique Ministries would like to extend a warm appreciation towards the establishment of the first ever musical summer camp in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. A resource treasury is when we compile all our resources together for the benefit of our total community. We are rich in talents, creativity, intelligence; organizing and we also have great monetary wealth. We only need to learn to pool our resources and work together to become self sufficient. In this comm.-unity chest are essential components to aid families who have suffered the dramatic pain of losing their child or love one. We have weaved a net of organizations, businesses, churches and concern citizens to address the vital issues they face. We also have items in our chest to address crime & violence prevention and we firmly believe that with out our own economic base we will never impact in any significant way on those issues. The criminal justice system makes to much money off crime, violence and our inability to discipline our lives to really initiate any significant programs The fear of murder has grown so enormous in the United States that it leaves a taint, like the mark of Cain, on everyone murder. One might expect that the families of murder victims would be showered with sympathy and support, embraced by their communities. But in reality they are far more likely to feel isolated, fearful, and ashamed. Overwhelmed by grief and guilt, angry at the criminal-justice system, and shunned by their old friends. America's fascination with murder has not yet extended to its aftermath. The amount of bloodshed in the United States is difficult to comprehend, like the carnage of a shadowy, undeclared civil war. During the past two decades nearly half a million Americans have been murdered, and an additional 2.5 million have been wounded by gunfire more casualties than the U.S. military has suffered in all the wars of the past 200 years.
