Donna Polk, Executive Director for Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA), is the organization’s first female director and first African American director. She previously served as DIAA’s Coordinator of Interscholastic Athletics.

Prior to joining DIAA, she was an advisor and head girls varsity basketball coach at Indian River High School. She also has 14 years of experience at the collegiate level, working as associate athletic director/senior woman administrator at Bowie State University and compliance coordinator/sports information director/office manager at Columbia Union College, now Washington Adventist University.  

Polk has experience in multiple areas of athletics administration and has served on several campus-level, conference-level, and national committees. 

While at Bowie State, she served as head women’s basketball coach for three seasons, reaching the conference championship twice. She also has coached women’s basketball at Columbia Union and basketball and softball at Bowie High School.

Polk attended Columbia Union, where she was a member of the women’s basketball and softball teams. She earned a B.S. in counseling psychology from Columbia Union and a Master's in organizational management from University of Phoenix.
