On tonight's segment of CENTER STAGE we will look at the recent shooting of two police officers in Ferguson. Some are trying to blame protesters, despite the Department of Justice's new report showing FPD targeted Black people to generate revenue for the city. This leaves many at a lost, questioning why anyone would think the protesters would respond negatively now, when they hadn't before. This week the DOJ also announced a national initiative to combat police misconduct. It named 6 cities to use as pilots to look at the relationship between the police and communities...This should be a very interesting show seeing that Fort Worth, TX has been chosen as one of the cities. This is the same police department that has harassed Center Stage's host/producer Kheri Hines for almost 4 years. We will also look at Rep. Jason Vilalba (R-Texas) proposing a bill that would make it illegal to film the police unless you are part of the mainstream media. Lastly, we will examine the socioeconomic agenda for the poor. Don't you dare miss this show.
