The Saturday Morning Entertainment Show

It's already July 27 which means we are heading towards the end of summer. And what a summer it has been with record breaking temperatures. Nevertheless, we celebrate it all here on the Caribbean Global Voices Saturday Morning Entertainment Show. And of course the world's greatest summer festival is in full swing with Carnival in Anguilla, Antigua, Tortola and Culturama in Nevis. A wonderful way to celebrate life and culture. But we revel and have a joyous time we take time out for a serious conversation. So, Let's Talk.

Another Black womwn was brutally murdered in her home after she called 911 to report a suspected prowler. Sonya Massey a 36 year old Black woman was murdered by a deputy of the Sangamon County Sheriff's Department in Springfield Illinois. Sheriffs Deputy Sean Grayson murdered Ms. Massey with three bullets to the head while she was at her stove tending to what seemed like a pot of water that had begun to boil.

Protest and public outrage shaped the response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu, address to the joint session of congress. People are calling for an end to the assault on Garza and a ceasefire. Despite the death of over 40, 000 people and the threat of starvation, lack of medical services, and other health condifions threatening millions more, the genocidal assault against the Palestinian people continues.
