EXODUS 35: 1-3 MOSES REINTRODUCES THE SABBATH

            Moses is now calling those he has appointed as leaders over the people as his father-in-law Jethro instructed him.  These leaders are to go back to their flocks and give them instructions to do two things that the Lord commanded to be done immediately.

1. Keep the Sabbath or die for failing to do so
2. Begin the work of erecting the tabernacle with all of the articles that were made available by the people.  The temple was to be dedicated to the Lord and used in His service.  The Christian has always been compelled in this way when the apostle Paul said, “1Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.  We are the temple of God on this earth, and we are citizens of His kingdom on earth.
